An Inspiring Day about Women of True Grit

Highlander Studios’ President, Marion MacKenzie Pyle, recently participated as a panel speaker at the Middle Tennessee State University event celebrating National Women's History Month.

The inspiring day with accomplished keynote speakers and two panels of award-winning media and entertainment executives, writers, producers, actors, and singers poured into the Media and Entertainment students and faculty sharing powerful stories of courage, resilience and perseverance in their lives, families and careers.

“The media and entertainment industry is an enormous, multi-faceted world with hundreds of creative opportunities,” said Marion to the student audience. “What will surprise most of you is how competitive it is and how hard you are going to have to work to achieve and sustain career success. But if you are called to this mountain, then develop your talents, become a great person work with and never, never, never give up on your dreams.”

"Women of True Grit" author/speaker/producer Edie Hand spearheaded a stellar event together with MTSU's Dean, Beverly Keel. The occasion got a special mention from Channel 5 News.
